The Modoc County Junior Livestock Show & Sale is a one of a kind event sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Alturas and held in June each year.  Local 4-H and FFA Members exhibit their beef, goat, horse, poultry, rabbit, sheep, and swine projects in breeding, market and showmanship classes and participate in a livestock judging contest.  Market animals are sold at auction friday night after the Awards Ceremony and Buyer's BBQ.

   This week long event is planned and conducted by the Junior Show Board, 4-H and FFA Members elected to represent their clubs and chapters.
